The sixth of the DIGIAGE Future with Games game development camps was held on September 1-11, 2022 at the Gebze campus of the Informatics Valley. The first international game meeting, which was held online in February with the participation of 8 countries, was held face to face with participants from 30 different countries this summer.
Game designers, software developers, digital cinema and animation film producers, screenwriters and young people with initiatives in many components of the ecosystem met at the summer camp to develop multicolored, multicultural games together. Designers, who will come together physically and online with the understanding of global cooperation, designed their projects and made presentations to investors during the 10-day camp.
More than six hundred participants were expected at the Summer Camp, where new generation content ideas such as metaverse and blockchain will turn into projects along with traditional game categories. High school and university students and game developers graduated from different departments looking for a place in the industry had the opportunity to present their game scenarios and project prototypes to investors. Developers with different skills and competencies from different countries, on the one hand, met new colleagues and masters from the international ecosystem, and on the other hand, designed by integrating different perspectives. In DIGIAGE camps, young people from different geographies and cultures try to team up to create their initiatives and build studios. Dozens of studios established in previous camps and teams that made production agreements with the leading publishers of the industry have developed world-class games. Expectations will also be high at the OG22 winter camp with international participation.
