The Game Development Summer Camp and Global Ecosystem Meeting organized by the Informatics Valley Digital Animation and Game Cluster Center (DIGIAGE) in Kocaeli continues.
In the camp at Kocaeli Gebze Campus, participants focus on developing new generation "metaverse", "blockchain", "NFT" and "VR" game projects with "midcore" and "consol" project designs, especially "HyperCasual" games.
In the camp, which will continue until September 11, 530 participants from 29 countries continue their game development activities in the teams established.
Emre Yıldız, Director of DIGIAGE, told AA correspondent that they hosted guests from 29 countries in the Informatics Valley and said that the participants developed games here.
Explaining that the difference of the summer camp from other camps is that they host people from the gaming industry, Yıldız said, "Those who are interested in the gaming industry can discover their talents here. Half of the teams are those who have been in the gaming industry before, and the other half are those who are trying to enter the gaming industry. At the end of the camp, both our Informatics Valley Venture Capital Investment Fund and other game funds will be listening to the game companies. At the end of this camp, there is also a motivation that will ensure their early-stage investment status."
Yıldız said, "The main motivation of the camp is to ensure that the gaming ecosystem in Turkey spreads to the lowest layer." and noted that there were participants from more than 60 cities in Turkey.
Stating that young people from all over Turkey can come here to develop games, Yıldız said, "The first goal is to ensure that all of Turkey is included in the game development ecosystem. Then, to ensure that these friends have access to the right technology to develop games. There are opportunities to develop their games using the game development laboratories in the Informatics Valley. The third motivation of the camp is to find early stage investment. At the end of this camp, we aim to get some early-stage investment and enable game studios to take the first step to make games on a global scale in a truly investor sense."
