DIGIAGE IS NOW IN BAKU!<\/b><\/p>\n

DIGIAGE MET WITH GAME DEVELOPERS IN BAKU!<\/b><\/p>\n

The \"DIGIAGE Game Development Camp\" held in Baku, Azerbaijan on September 7-10, 2023 was completed with enthusiasm. 82 people selected from 267 applicants who completed the 5-stage application process were eligible to participate in this camp. 14 different teams developed games and prepared investment presentations during the camp. 23 individual participants started to learn game development from scratch and decided to form a team with the people they met in the camp.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR GAME TEAMS<\/b><\/p>\n

On the first day of the camp, panels and interviews were organized with leading names in the game industry, while the other days continued with game development and training sessions. On the last day of the camp, APY Ventures experts from Turkey came and listened to the presentations of 14 teams. While some of these teams were decided to invest in some of these teams, others were asked to be mentored and asked to make investor presentations again in the coming months. In addition, 7 companies that are currently developing games in Azerbaijan contributed to the camp by giving interviews and mentoring support.<\/span><\/p>\n

187 BILLION DOLLAR GAMING INDUSTRY<\/b><\/p>\n

The economic size of the gaming industry reached 187 billion dollars by 2023. DIGIAGE continues to grow and mentor the gaming ecosystem, contributing to the growth of startups that have a say in this huge market.<\/span><\/p>\n

DIGIAGE Baku Game Development Camp was held at the Baku Campus of Informatics Valley. In the camp held under the coordination of Informatics Valley Baku, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan Center for Innovations, Code Academy and DIGIAGE, the future of the game ecosystem was discussed and inspiring interviews were organized for young people.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event ended with the participation and closing speeches of AzTU Rector Vilayet Veliyev, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Baku Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cahit Ba\u011fc\u0131, Deputy Head of the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovations under the Presidency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ceyhun Salmanov, General Manager of the Informatics Valley A. Serdar \u0130brahimcio\u011flu.<\/span><\/p>\n

INFORMATION VALLEY BAKU CAMPUS<\/b><\/p>\n

Informatics Valley has reached Baku after Kocaeli, Izmir and Istanbul. The Informatics Valley, which was launched in 2019 with the vision of the National Technology Move, reached Kocaeli, Istanbul, Izmir and Baku. For the development of technology entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, the Baku Campus of the Informatics Valley has started to provide some support and incentives to startups.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Informatics Valley Baku Campus continues to work for the emergence and growth of initiatives in the gaming industry. Informatics Valley Baku and DIGIAGE signed the Baku Game Development Camp and will continue to provide environment and support to young people in Azerbaijan.<\/span><\/p>\n
